1985 State Premium
Holsteiner mare
Zenit is an imported, State Premium Holsteiner mare. She was the winner of her
Mare Performance Test in Elmshorn, Germany and left top offspring in Europe. Her
oldest son was a competitor in the German Championships for Young Horses at
Wahrendorf (horses must qualify to compete here) and is successful at KI.M
(1.30m). Her oldest daughter was a competitor at the German Riding Horse
Championships. Zenit also has a son who is a successful jumper in Austria and a
young daughter who is currently being campaigned by international German Team
member, Jorg Kruetzman, at the KI.M level. In North America, she has produced a
licensed breeding stallion; the 2004 CSHA Hi-Point Jumper/Dressage Champion and
2005 Winner of the Young Horse Development Class at Thunderbird; as well as the
Res.Ch. 3 Year Old at the 2004 Wild Rose Free Jumping Competition. Her 2003 son
was recently sold as a stallion prospect to the US. She has been very consistent
in producing “jumping horses that move”.
Zenit is from the
important sports stamm (mare family) 95 and is, herself, mentioned by name in
the Holsteiner Stamm Book (a bible for Holsteiner breeders!). She is a
successful embryo transfer donor with a number of foals produced
from 2002-2004. Zenit is approved Holsteiner Verband, American Holsteiner,
Zangersheide and Canadian Warmblood. This is an absolutely lovely, top class
mare.
Zenit's sire, Caribo, a son of the respected Calypso
II by the legendary Cor de la Bryere, competed in both Grand Prix Jumping and
Grand Prix Dressage in Europe. He is listed in the top 20 of the 2003 Holsteiner
Breeding Values (no small feat for a privately owned stallion). He is the sire
of at least two approved sons, Carnaby and Carnaby Crescendo as well as a number
of approved and premium daughters. Carnaby won the G.P. Puissance in Löbnitz,
clearing 2,10m (7 feet). He is sire of first-class horses, his son, Carabas, won
the 2000 Holsteiner Stallion Championship in Neumunster, Germany and the
Stallion Performance Test at Wahrendorf over all breeds. Zenit's dam and
granddam are Premium and State Premium mares from a very important mare family.

1989 Canadian Warmblood mare
Grey Myst is a lovely, kind and sensitive mare who
was unfortunately injured as a young horse but, nonetheless, has an excellent
production record. She is the dam of numerous successful horses throughout North
America including the 2005 Res. Ch. Adult Amateur Hunter at Upperville and
Res. Ch. Pre-Green High 3'3" at Culpeper as well as
the 2005 Ch. Schooling One Jumper at the Pebble Beach Spring Horse Show under US
Grand Prix jumper rider, Lise Quintero. She has also produced a breeding
stallion along with dressage horses and an eventer. Mysty is consistent in
producing balanced, elastic movement with suspension as well as lots of jumping
talent. All of her offspring jump with very good leg technique, good bascule and
lots of scope. They also have very good temperaments and are all very confident,
friendly and talented with lots of presence. This mare is so consistent that
when we breed her, we are usually very sure of what the result will be! She has
produced some of our best foals.
Her sire, the Hanoverian stallion, Godewind,is
licensed with three breed associations and had scores of 121+ at his performance
testing. His offspring are known for their athletic ability and, in Germany,
have proven themselves in the Grand Prix rings. He is a grandson of the immortal
Gotthard and the important Sellhorn and Domspatz. Mysty's dam is a granddaughter
of the renowned Nearctic xx, a great progenitor of sport horses and traces to
Nearco, Princequillo, Hyperion, Bull Lea, etc.

1993 Anglo-Trakehner mare
Raphika is a very talented, athletic mare who was
successful on the line as a young horse. She won a number of classes in hand and
and was Reserve Champion overall as a two year old, beaten only by a stallion at
a Canadian Trakehner show. A devastating injury to her left knee ended our hopes
of an under saddle career. Raphika had her knee fused as a three year old and,
due to her exceptional athletic ability and mind, has an excellent quality of
life and gets around very easily (she even jumps logs, easily keeps up with the
herd and does flying changes still!). Her first son is a successful "A" circuit
hunter on the US east coast and was recently the 2005 Novice Eq Division
Champion at the HITS on the Hudson show in Saugerties, NY. Raphika's
eldest daughter ended 2003 as the NWSHBA Reserve Champion Three Year old Hunter
Breeding Filly and the Reserve Champion Dressage filly and has started a very
successful under saddle hunter career.
Raphika's sire, Nemo, was a well respected sire and
versatile athlete who left behind numerous very good sport horses, approved
daughters and an approved stallion son. Her dam was successful on the track and
has a very
good sport horse pedigree tracing to Northern Dancer, Nearctic, Menetrier, Royal
Charger, etc.
